Campanula creates white, pink or light blue flowers on its overhanging stems. The white flowering variety is called the "bride" and the blue "groom". In the flood of flowers, the tiny light green leaves are almost lost. It blooms from spring to half underwater. There are about 400 species growing predominantly in the temperate zone of the northern hemisphere, especially abundantly in the Mediterranean.
