Amaryllis (Hippeastrum) – Majestic Star of the Winter Season
Amaryllis, more correctly Hippeastrum, is the embodiment of elegance and luxury. Its enormous, velvety flowers on a strong, leafless stem look like a work of art. Although native to the tropics, its ability to bloom in the midst of winter has made it an indispensable part of Christmas and winter floristry. It brings a touch of nobility and festive atmosphere to any space.
A Tip from our Florist, Monika: "For me, Amaryllis is the queen of winter. Its blooms are so large and perfect that often a single stem in a vase is enough to create a stunning effect. It's the absolute star in our Christmas arrangements. And the great news? With proper care, it can stay beautiful in a vase for easily two weeks!"
