Tip from florist Míša: The most common mistake with houseplants is overwatering. Before you water, push a finger about 2 cm into the soil: if it is damp, wait a little longer. And wipe the leaves with a damp cloth from time to time so the plant can catch more light.

Which houseplants should a beginner choose?

Which houseplants can handle shade?

How often should I water houseplants?
Water only when the top layer of soil has dried out (push a finger about 2 cm into the soil), plants in shade even less. A Zamioculcas can happily be watered just once every 14 days.

Which houseplants are safe for cats and dogs?
