This elegant potted variety, known as Spanish lavender (Lavandula stoechas), is the absolute queen of balcony and terrace plants. Its striking purple blooms are topped with distinctive petal-like bracts that look like tiny butterflies perched on the plant. It brings not just visual charm, but also a deeply soothing fragrance into your home.

Tip from Andrea (Potted Plant Expert): Careful, this beauty is a bit sensitive! Unlike the classic purple lavender from Czech gardens, it can't tolerate our frosts. It's a typical Mediterranean plant. My tip? Grow it in a decorative pot. From spring to autumn it will put on a spectacular show on a sunny balcony or terrace, and for winter you simply move it indoors to a bright, cool hallway (approx. 10–15 °C). With this winter care, it will stay beautiful for years.

Sun: Loves scorching heat! Find it the sunniest, south-facing spot.
Water: Always let the substrate dry out slightly between waterings. Lavender absolutely cannot tolerate overwatering or standing water.
Trimming: Trim off the dried blooms right after flowering. This encourages the plant to bloom again within the same season.
Since it's a heat-loving live plant, it must not get cold or experience temperature shock during transport.
