A flower box is a ready-made arrangement set into moist floral foam inside a decorative box – the recipient doesn't need to find a vase or trim any stems, the box is simply placed on a table. Here's how to choose the right one.
Who a box suits best
A box is ideal wherever a vase is missing or would just be in the way:
✅ For the office – it stays put on the desk, taking up no extra space.
✅ For a hospital – wards often don't allow vases, and a box doesn't need one.
✅ For a party at a restaurant – no risk of tipping over and spilling water like a vase would.
Tip from florist Bára (Design & Premium): "A box is a decoration and a vase in one. The flowers sit in moist Oasis foam – to keep the box looking fresh even after a week, add about 100 ml of water every 2–3 days, right into the middle among the flowers."
Which size and colour to pick
Our boxes range roughly from 1,000 to 2,700 CZK depending on density and flower type:
Compact mix (around 1,000–1,300 CZK) – a densely packed box of mixed flowers, a great first introduction to the format or a small gesture for the office.
Single-variety boxes (hydrangeas, carnations) – one solid block of colour, a modern, minimalist look.
Premium and rose boxes (around 1,800–2,700 CZK) – a larger box, a bolder colour composition or more luxurious varieties, for big occasions and important anniversaries.

Box, or a classic bouquet?
A box wins whenever you want a fuss-free gift with no vase involved. But if you're sending a bouquet outside Prague by courier, that's a different question – how the bouquet survives the journey. That's covered in our article Flowers and Bouquets in a Box, where we explain the difference between a decorative flower box and a shipping box used for EMS delivery.
