Phlox - Clematis are herbaceous to shrub annuals or perennials, deciduous or standing green. Most often they grow upright and the stems are simple or decomposed branches, sometimes forming clumps and sparsely. The leaves are usually accommodating, shortly petiolate to sessile, ovate to lanceolate and circumferential. The flowers smell pleasantly and are mostly colorful, usually bright red, pink, purple, blue, cream or white. Plants originate mainly from North America and several species are widespread, as ornamental flowers are grown almost all over the world.
