Viburnum (Snowball) – Snowballs in the Middle of a Spring Garden
Viburnum belongs to the moschatel family (Adoxaceae) and is native to Europe and the temperate zone of Asia, where it grows as a deciduous shrub. In floristry it is prized for its spherical flower clusters, which in full bloom resemble freshly rolled snowballs. It is a flower that can turn an ordinary bouquet into a majestic arrangement with a single branch.
What it looks like and what will delight you: Viburnum is fascinating in its transformation. At the start of the season its flowers are a fresh lime green, and over time they turn pure white, with some varieties gaining a gentle pink blush. Its structure is firm and its leaves a rich, healthy green, giving bouquets a natural, “abundant” look.

To keep it from wilting in a luxury bouquet, it needs a long diagonal cut on the woody stem and a vase full of fresh water.”
