Which Monstera Variety Should You Choose?
Our shop stocks several Monstera varieties. They differ in shape and growth habit, but care is practically the same for all of them:

Monstera deliciosa (The classic queen): This icon with giant heart-shaped leaves grows outward rather than up. It’s the ideal statement plant for a corner of the room and instantly grabs attention.

Monstera pertusum (Slender elegance): If you’re short on floor space, choose this variety grown on a moss pole. It grows mainly upward, forming a dense, elegant green column.

Monstera Adansonii Monkey Leaf (The playful climber): Looking for something smaller for a shelf or a hanging planter? This more compact variety, with its typical “windowed” leaves, is the perfect choice for smaller spaces.
Spring Refresh: April and May Are Repotting Time
Right now, in spring, is the most important time of year for your Monstera. The plant is waking up and needs room to grow:

When to repot: If roots start poking out of the bottom of the pot or the plant has stopped growing, it’s time for a new home. Choose a pot 2–4 cm larger in diameter.

An airy substrate: Monstera loves well-draining soil. We recommend lightening a standard houseplant mix with perlite or orchid bark.

Fertilising: Starting in April, feed it regularly once every 14 days. This gives it the strength to grow large, deeply split leaves.
3 Tips for a Healthy Monstera
For your plant to truly thrive, it needs the right care:

Just the right light: It loves bright, indirect light. Direct midday sun can scorch the leaves, while too little light means the leaves won’t develop their signature splits and will stay solid.

Aerial roots are a gift, not a flaw: Never cut off those brown “strings” on your Monstera! They’re its feelers, drawing moisture from the air. You can gently guide them into the pot so they feed the plant as well.

Leaves like mirrors: Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth or shower them off once every two weeks. Dust blocks the pores the plant breathes through – a clean leaf means a healthy plant.
