Decorative Greenery – The Architecture of a Bouquet and a Touch of Our Own Garden
Decorative greenery is far more than just “filler” to us at KvětinyExpres.cz. It is the skeleton that gives a bouquet its shape, the colour that makes the flowers shine, and the texture that defines the style. While we import exotic leaves from the Dutch auction, there is one thing we are especially proud of: from May to September we add cherry laurel to our arrangements that our own owner, Monika, grows herself in her garden. This local freshness gives our bouquets a character you won't find anywhere else.
Our green heroes and their role:
-
Salal and Pistacia: Our most reliable helpers. Salal forms a firm, deep green base, while Pistacia's delicate leaves add richness to a bouquet.
-
Monstera and Aspidistra: The queens of elegance. We use their broad leaves as modern cuffs for luxury bouquets or as a dignified base for funeral bouquets and wreaths.
-
Beargrass and Asparagus: They give an arrangement movement. We can weave the long blades of Beargrass or let them 'dance' freely above the flowers for an ethereal look.
Tip from Bára (Colour & Design Specialist): “Greenery is architecture to me. Without it, a bouquet would just be a heap of flowers. My favourite trick? An Aspidistra leaf bends and staples beautifully, letting us create elegant loops that give a bouquet flair. When choosing greenery for different occasions, I make sure it matches the flower's character – our garden-grown cherry laurel for wild roses, or the magnificent Monstera for exotic blooms.”
✦ Use at KvětinyExpres.cz: Decorative greenery accompanies every one of our bouquets, from minimalist modern arrangements to lush wedding and funeral designs – it is the invisible but essential foundation of the quality we guarantee.
