Christmas Trends 2026: White and Cream, Wax Amaryllis and a Return to Nature

Every year brings something new to Christmas floristry. Christmas 2026 is all about white and cream, natural materials and smart design. Pantone named Cloud Dancer, a soft creamy white, its colour of the year for 2026, and it suits Christmas very well.

If you want your decoration to follow the trends this year, a wax amaryllis should not be missing from your table. You will find ideas for matching colours and styles in the article Christmas Floral Decoration.

Trend No. 1: Wax Amaryllis (A Miracle Without Water)

Forget about watering. The Wax Amaryllis has been a trend for roughly two to three years and it is back this year. The bulb is wrapped in decorative wax that contains nutrients and moisture for growth, so it needs no watering and no pot. It reaches a height of 50–60 cm, has two stems and blooms with red flowers. We deliver it in a gift bag. Last year it was among our best-selling Christmas products.

Why is it a hit?

  • Low maintenance: it needs neither water nor soil.
  • Design: it looks like a modern sculpture.
  • Experience: you watch it grow and bloom day by day.

Choosing an amaryllis? In the Amaryllis category you will find waxed, potted and cut ones.

Tip from Florist Bára

"I love the Wax Amaryllis as a design piece for a table or mantelpiece – no dripping water anywhere, so you can place it right next to books or electronics without worry. Turn it a little toward the window each day, so it grows straight instead of leaning toward the light."

Trend No. 2: A White and Cream Christmas

This year's colour of Christmas is creamy white. It feels warmer than sharp white and goes beautifully with natural materials. Among flowers, white amaryllis, cotton, white roses and eustoma work well, along with light candles and snowy twigs. According to British trend overviews, richer tones are also returning alongside cream: burgundy, cranberry, forest green, chocolate brown and antique gold, for example on velvet ribbons.

Trend No. 3: Natural Advent Wreaths (The Forest at Your Home)

Artificial needles are out. We tie Advent wreaths from fresh, non-shedding fir greenery (Nobilis and Nordmann) and complement them with natural materials:

  • cones and cinnamon,
  • wooden decorations,
  • cotton,
  • Holly (Ilex) with red berries,
  • dried orange slices.

An idea for scent and for the table: a small bundle of rosemary, cedar or eucalyptus tied with a ribbon to a napkin.

The first Sunday of Advent this year is 29 November. For the wreath to arrive in time, order in Prague by Friday 27 November and for other cities by Thursday 26 November. You will find a guide to tying one yourself in the article How to Make an Advent Wreath.

Trend No. 4: Christmas Bouquets (Festive Atmosphere)

Christmas is not only about evergreens. More and more families complement the festive table with a fresh Christmas bouquet, which becomes the centrepiece of the Christmas Eve table.

  • Winter white and cream: elegant arrangements of white roses, eustoma and cotton that resemble a snowy landscape.
  • Gold and red: a timeless classic, bouquets of deep red roses complemented with gold decoration, glittering twigs or cones.
  • The scent of Christmas: according to Andrea, whole cinnamon, dried orange slices or eucalyptus sprigs work well and smell wonderful in the warmth of the home.
