If you're feeling creative, here's how to do it.
What will you need?
The base: A straw ring (available at hobby stores).
Evergreen branches: Noble fir (doesn't shed), thuja, or pine.
Tools: Garden shears, binding wire (green), a glue gun.
Decorations: 4 candles, candle spikes, ribbons, cinnamon, dried orange slices, or cotton.
Step-by-step instructions:
Preparing the branches: Cut the sprigs to a length of roughly 10–15 cm.
Binding: Lay a bundle of sprigs against the ring and wrap it tightly with wire. Place the next bundle so it covers the stems of the previous one (like scales). Keep going around until the circle is complete.
Candles: Stick 4 candle spikes symmetrically into the wreath and push the candles onto them. (Safety first!)
Decorating: Glue on the decorations with the glue gun. Sometimes less is more. You can also add fresh flowers, like long-lasting holly (Ilex).
