The whole family gathers around the Christmas Eve table, so it deserves more than a tablecloth and plates. Three things are enough: a Christmas bouquet in a vase, a natural candleholder and a few small decorations. Below you will find what belongs in each part, how to handle candles and how to give the table a scent.

What Should Not Be Missing on a Christmas Table

1. A Christmas Bouquet in a Vase

2. A Natural Candleholder
A natural candleholder combines the light of candles with the scent of winter greenery and fir. An Advent wreath with candles can also be the centrepiece of the table:

3. Small Christmas Decorations
Small decorations complete the table setting. Holly, amaryllis, a Christmas cactus, a poinsettia, an Advent wreath, natural conifer branches and straw ornaments work well:
Tip from Andrea: “Don’t forget the scent! I like to add whole cinnamon, dried orange slices or eucalyptus sprigs to Christmas decorations. They smell lovely in the warmth of your home.”
When to Order Flowers for Christmas Eve 2026
We accept online orders for Christmas Eve delivery until Wednesday, 23 December 2026, 5 pm. On Thursday, 24 December we deliver in a 9 am–12 pm time window. We do not deliver on 25, 26 and 27 December. The busiest days are usually between 15 and 21 December, so please order in good time. All dates are in Christmas Flower Delivery 2026.
You can also pick up flowers in person on Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 December, when the shop in Strašnice is open until 6 pm. On Christmas Eve the shop is closed.
